A specially selected panel of independent Jury will be responsible for evaluating and selecting the exceptional  individual in Islamic finance. The Jury panel are industry experts in Islamic Finance and come from diversified professional background, such as academicians, bankers, politicians, judge, Shariah advisor and represent various geographical locations (Asia, Middle East, Europe, USA).
 
The Jury panel is chaired by Tun Musa Hitam, former Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia and the current Chairman of the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) Foundation.

Member of the Jury may not be considered for nomination.

The Jury is headed by Tun Musa Hitam, a former Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia and the current Chairman of the World Islamic Economic Forum.  He is also the Chairman of Sime Darby.

Tun Abdul Hamid Haji Mohamad

Tun Abdul Hamid Haji Mohamad, a former Chief Justice of the Federal Court, Malaysia and a member of the Shariah Advisory Council of the Securities Commission and Bank Negara Malaysia.

Professor Dr. Volker Nienhaus

     Professor Dr. Volker Nienhaus

Professor Dr Volker Nienhaus is the former President, University of Marburg, Germany. He is a member of the Governing Council of International Centre of Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) and consultant to the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB) on governance and takaful operations.

 


Professor Dr. Abbas Mirakhor

     Professor Dr. Abbas Mirakhor

Professor Dr Abbas Mirakhor, former Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund, and received the Islamic Development Bank prize (2003). Dr Mirakhor is presently the holder of the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) Chair.

Professor Dr Mohamed Ali Elgari is a Professor of Islamic Economics at King Abdul Aziz University, Saudi Arabia. He was formerly a Director of Center for Research in Islamic Economics, King Abdul Aziz University and is a recognised expert in Islamic Jurisprudence.

Mr A Riawan Amin is currently the Honorary Chairman of the Indonesian Association of Islamic Banks (ASBISINDO) and a Director of the General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI). He has more than 20 years experience in the banking industry and was the former President Director of Bank Muamalat Indonesia.
